Daniela Travaglini

Freelance translator and subtitler

I am a professional translator and subtitler, member of SUBTLE – The Subtitlers’ Association.
My main working languages are English and Italian, with a very good knowledge of French.
I lived and worked in London, which I still consider my second home.

Before becoming a professional translator, I worked for many years across British Airways commercial teams, using English for all exchanges and communications.

Since then, English never stopped working its charms on me.
Always a passionate lover of movies and documentaries in original language and an active film festival goer, I soon started working as a freelance audiovisual translator and subtitler.
I love to contribute to the post-production process – from time spotting to subtitle creation – in order to find the best rhythm between words, sounds and images.

My most recent projects include documentaries, films, scripts , art and music.
I am part of the editorial team of Lunàdigas, curating the translation of articles and reviews and creating subtitles for the audiovisual Live Archive.
